small business saturday la grangeThe days following Thanksgiving mark the beginning of America’s holiday shopping craze, which only seem to get more chaotic every year. Black Friday and Cyber Monday definitely warrant participation, offering fabulous deals for shoppers and driving the success of many large businesses. That said, it’s hard to deny the stress of entering long lines at over-crowded shopping malls, with people nearly knocking each other with their huge bags. And while online shopping has certainly provided a more convenient (and quieter) way of buying, it doesn’t seem to give as personal of an experience.

That’s why in between the pandemonium of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we love the much-needed break of Small Business Saturday! This is an event that celebrates smaller local businesses, where shopping supports the establishments that make up our neighborhoods, which are so important to the Dan Spain Group. Many local shops and businesses in the western Chicago suburbs are participating in Small Business Saturday, which starts on November 25th. Some towns are even hosting accompanying holiday celebrations and activities for friends, couples and families to enjoy while shopping. So come enjoy the quaint shops and village squares in our western Chicago suburbs, and experience the holiday season in small town America!
